WORKS AT HOME - crayons and clay!-

Recently i became very interested in clay and i bought some baking clay and started experimenting/Playing>:D with them.
these are some tiny cakes i made with the baking clay~

i really like them and i even made them into keychains by sticking a wire with a loop at the end in it.
next i tried to make figures with it!!
this is a tiny one of the character black rock shooter from an anime series:

with the help of tutorials online (youtube), i've gotten some help in making the hair (which was really the challenge at first~~
then i moved on to a bigger one which is not done yet:

from one of the activities that we have done in class (the plastering figure thingy), i used some of the technique to create the main structure which helped me to make it (well, half of it to be exact) i will try to finish it!!! ( although the neck keeps breaking!!! D:)

AND HERE ARE THE CLAY WORKS which i did yesterday!! (18/2)
I watched many videos on youtube of people making them!!! its cool!!! i really like the texture of the wax flowing down. its like water flowing down and frozen in time~~~ it really gives a very good sense of movement and its 3D!!!!
I made 3 of this before it suceeded. and i made 4 in total~~
For the first one, the crayon 'exploded' and it just flew off!!! D: (and i had a heart attack) i think it was because i used uhu glue (not that its not good!!! I LOVE UHU GLUE~!!) and i melted faster than the crayon and hence the crayon flew off or maybe simply because the crayons were old ( i can be seen that there were like holes in them) and they exploded... ;A; reason never known!!
For the second one, painted the canvas with black oil paint before gluing one the crayons (with glue gun) but i was too impatient to wait for the oil paint to dry so the crayons just 'flew off' as the glue gun glue couldnt hold on to the slippery oil paint... D:
and FINALLY for the third one, i stuck the crayons on a piece of clean canvas with the paper wrapping on and i melttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!
and this is how it looks like!!! <3

NYAN CAT INVASION, wax crayon on canvas

i really love the flow of it and i actually layed a piece of wrapping paper under it to prevent the wax from dripping on the floor and as the wax starts to collect at the bottom, i thought it looked really nice. so i cut the paper with the wax on it but amazingly, the wrapping paper actually came off easily from the wax, leaving the wax just there!!!! WHOOO THAT WAS AN AWESOME FINDING!!!

then the for the fouth one , i just wanted to make a simple one with wax flowing down and to also capture more of the flowing of the wax and here it is~

i really love this simple one too!! i like the composition where it is like flowing down with some splatters at the side~~ >:D and for this one , the crayons are quite whole so i think this is an improvement i made. for the one above, some of the crayons actually slipped out of the paper wrapping!! D:
for this, i focused alot more on the flow where i let the crayon flow down and i change to cold air to cool/freeze it and i repeat the steps and this would give it more layers~

LETS ALL DO THIS AT HOME!! ITS REALLY SIMPLE!
just grab some old crayons (that are not explosive!! haha just joking), a hair dryer, a piece of canvas ( dosent have to be stretched) and a glue gun!

then for the rest its up to u to be creative with.

for me, i would want to go further with it, by placing 'obstacles' which would change and direct the flow of the crayons and also try many other color combinations~~
